Description
An Ajax piece from the late-90s Umbro era, connected to one of the club’s great domestic seasons. In 1997/98, Ajax won the Eredivisie and the KNVB Cup, with a side shaped by names such as Edwin van der Sar, Frank de Boer, Ronald de Boer, Jari Litmanen, Michael Laudrup, Shota Arveladze, Sunday Oliseh and Danny Blind.
Visually, this away shirt carries everything that makes late-90s Ajax so recognisable: dark navy base, red and white detailing, Umbro construction and the vertical ABN AMRO sponsor running down the front. It is a shirt with real archive weight, graphic, confident and tied to a period when Ajax still felt like one of European football’s great references.
