Authenticity

Originality is non-negotiable.

Every shirt in the Matchday Culture archive is reviewed before being listed. Authenticity is the foundation of what we do — not a selling point, not an extra, not a detail.

We only sell original football shirts.

Original shirts, checked with care.

Labels and internal tags

We review neck labels, wash labels, sizing information, product codes and brand-specific details whenever available.

Badges and sponsor applications

We look at embroidery, heat-press applications, flock, texture, placement and ageing.

Fabric and construction

Materials, stitching, panels, collars, cuffs and overall finishing are checked against the expected construction of the shirt.

Era and model consistency

We compare the piece with the season, brand, team, template and known variations from the period.

Condition and ageing

Natural wear, fading, cracking and use can help tell the story of a shirt. They also help us understand whether a piece feels consistent with its age.

Clear information before purchase

Authenticity is only the beginning.

Every product page includes clear information about the shirt’s condition, size, measurements, visible wear and any relevant flaws. We do not hide marks, pulls, fading, cracking or signs of use.

Most pieces in the archive are pre-owned. Some are vintage. Some are recent. Each one is described as clearly as possible, so you know what you are buying before it arrives.

No surprises. No vague condition claims. No fake scarcity.

Our promise

We do not knowingly sell counterfeit shirts.

If a piece cannot be confidently verified, it is not listed. If new information ever raises a serious authenticity concern after purchase, we will review it carefully and deal with it directly.

The archive is built on trust. Without originality, there is no curation.

No surprises. No vague condition claims. No fake scarcity.
